Currently, Im most excited about San Gimigano, which is a small walled medieval town (3rd Century B.C.) in Tuscany, north-central Italy. It is mainly famous for its medieval architecture, especially its towers, which may be seen from miles outside of the town. The town also is known for the white wine, Vernaccia di San Gimignano, grown in the area. I read that the town is sometimes called the "Midieval Manhattan". Of the 72 original towers, 15 of them still remain.
I was in Brawnly Beverages in Charlotte off of Park Road and the owner told me I HAD to go there. So he wrote it down for me about 6 months ago and I kept the sticky note. Started researching it and it definitely made the itinerary. Hopefully we will have lots of beautiful pictures to follow up with! Stay tuned!
